Just something I discovered kind of by accident but Thunderbird users might find it useful. Pressing alt-left arrow or alt-right arrow moves through messages if you have one open on your screen. So if I'm done reading a message and want to move to the next one, instead of pressing control-w and arrowing down to the next message and pressing enter on it, I can just press alt-right arrow. This is in tab view.
