It shouldn't. Windows 7 is designed to manage memory much better than even XP. You shouldn't even need 1 GB to run those three programs, however GoldWave can utilize quite a lot of resources especially if you are recording or performing processor intensive manipulations, such as applying effects or using GoldWaves Expression Evaluator feature. Is there any reason short of recording why you want GoldWave running in the background?
