Ap status? Ok. You have peaked my curiosity. How do you turn that off and on
in Window eyes, and what do you mean 6 is way different then 7?

Just saying... you don't want apps, set the app status to off. 6 is
waaaaaaay different than 7. I'm done.

Ok. I had to calmly look at the thread before I responded to this.
Whether you run Windows xp, Vista, or even 7, there should be no issues
what so ever with Malware bytes. I have run it on this machine with
System access, Jaws, NVDA, and window eyes. All worked pefectly well.
Sure I had to use the mouse pointer with Window eyes a few times if I
remember right but, no problems happened here. I even have a license for
the product as I bought it. I don't run it now because I have Viper
anti-virus and it has the option to scan for malware and it to is
accessible. I think the problem Pat you were having is that if you let it
run at start up, the computer will take a while to respond, not only
that, but, if that does happen, you can go in to msconfig and disable
that from starting up and running that manually. All I will say on this
is the following. If you get something free, you get what you pay for.
Now if you were to purchase Viper Anti-Virus as I said, it has the built
in scanner for malware and so there would be no worries there.

Dear Nate,
I just got rid of Malware Bytes, and my system is running just fine now.
I'm sorry, but I do! not! agree! with you at all in anything you said
about Window-Eyes or GW Micro. The things you said are not true, and
they were not nice at all.
Window-Eyes is an excellent screen reader, and GW Micro is a super great
company.
Yes, Window-Eyes 7.5.1 has a few problems, but it's a whole lot better
than it's ever been! There is no perfect screen reader on the market,
there is no perfect software package on the market. In fact, nothing in
this world is perfect. <smile>
There is nothing wrong with Window-Eyes using Aps to make it work better
with other software.
If you are using an older copy of Window-Eyes that someone sent you on a
used computer, then how do you know what 7.5.1 is like?

Hey, Pat, I just updated Malwarebytes, both the database and the main
program within the last couple weeks.
Have experienced no problems ever with that program, except for one time
about a year and a half ago when it came up with some crazy error
message which was caused by the program being seriously outdated, since
I didn't have the machine it was on connected to the internet for a long
time.
This I can tell you, their support guy, a Tom Mercado, straightened the
problem out within a day, and, they've dramatically improved the program
where it now automatically updates everything once it's told to.
Frankly, Pat, after what I've seen and read for the last few months with
this excuse for a program that GW Micro Inc. calls Window-Eyes, your
problem doesn't surprise me one bit.
Frankly, I wouldn't take that 7.5 anything for free, and, I've been a GW
customer since 1992.
Look, Pat, first, and, this is what turns me off so much to that entire
7.5 from the word go, it seems now, there isn't one single program out
there that they can't get to work right without all this app app app app
app crap crap crap crap crap nonsense, and, half the stuff doesn't work
right anyway, and, I'm absolutely sick and tired up to here with hearing
about all these infernal crashes, error this, error that, the loving
window eyes, I hate it with a passion!
You can laugh right in GW's face, I'm still using a copy of 6.0, that I
got on this real load of a computer my friend in the states sent here a
few months ago.
Hey, it works just fine and dandy with XP Pro, SP3, and, the few times
it's ever crashed, was not window-eyes' fault anyway, but, hey, it's
like I told my friend the other day, I've got a life, a house and 3 dogs
to take care of, just plain don't have the time nor patience to deal
with such yuppy garbage as that 7.5 and all its glory.
I also frankly think that GW's got all their priorities wrong anyway,
like, if they'd spent their time working so the thing might dare work
right on the web, or the mouse pointer might just think of working right
in too many ongoing cases, instead of all this app crap stuff and these
yuppy webinars or whatever they call 'em, just maybe, they might have
something that just might stand a chance to work right.
Also, what the hell they were thinking with that entire yuppy style tree
interface, it certainly defies my ability to fathom.
Yep, Pat, you can definitely call me a very disgruntled GW Micro
customer all right.

Hi Everyone,
Is anyone running the latest version of Malware Bytes with Window-Eyes
7.5.1?
I had to un-install Malware Bytes, as it was causing problems on my
computer and Window-Eyes was being very sparatic in speaking.
If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate hearing them very much.
Thanks much.
Blessings,
Pat Ferguson needing a new MommaBoard and more RAM with Windows Seven
64Bit.
