I would also like to see an ap for Spotify, as I use the Spotify unlimited service and although the way I made it work did work, it is not a very good way of working. I found that I could go down with the down arrow key after shift tabbing once from the edit box, press the context menu key, schoose play and press enter and then while the song is playing, I can check the title bar or use the read current line hotkey to tell me what the song is. I actually contacted Spotify about this, but all I got was something that looked suspiciously like an automated response.
