I fixed it by changing cursor to vertical line in teraterm setup/window.

It is all dependant on the terminal emulation. Depending on the UNIX
o.s.,
you will have varying success utilizing the arrow keys.
An example is RedHat Linux. If you have putty set to emulate ansi, the
arrow
keys seem to perform ok in both vi and the command line editor in ksh.
Now,
in Solaris, vt100 works much better. So, its a bit of trial and error.

Robert,
Simply install the set files for Teraterm Pro from File/Manage Sets
and Scripts/Set File Manager, and you should be good to go. No special
adjustments are needed.
