Hi, all,
I've seen this new Brilliant and thee was a presentation about it at
the NFB convention. I did record it, so I will hve to back through it
to note what they said. It will have the thumb keys and other
controls, and I believe that you will be able to control the computer
with it. It is slim like the Apex and uses the same Braille display.
I can't remember more at the moment. There is also a presentation
about it on one of the tech Web sites. I'm not sure if it has already
occurred or will soon, and I have deleted that announcement.
I'll try to have a few notes tomorrow.

Hum, Well since they aren't shipping for two months or more, it's
hardly surprising that no one is giving out information. It would
be surprising if they have it to give. I haven't even seen a press
release from humanware.
I suspect though that you will not be able to input text at all with
the brailliant. The current model does not have a braille input
keyboard, which is the main distinguishing feature between it and
the braille connect line of humanware displays. That makes me
suspect with out having seen any information what-so-ever on a new
brailliant, that it wouldn't matter what windoe-eyes does. You
won't be able to input braille because that's not the way the
hardware is designed.
