Mike,

You must first install a driver so that Window-Eyes can communicate with your Braille Note. Instructions for doing so can be found at http://www.humanware.com/en-international/support/braillenote_apex/braillenote_apex_as_a_braille_display.

Once you have configured the Braille Note, you don't need to leave it permanently connected. In this case, it is recommended that you set the active display to None when you don't use it, and re-assign it to the Braille Note when you do.

Regards,
Steve

Hi all. My laptop is a dell inspiron with windows7 professional. I
connected my braille note apex using the start wizzard but it’s not
working. My machine is 64 bytes also. Did I do something wrong or is
there a step I left out that will make the braille display function?
thanks
Mike
ps do I have to keep the braille note connected once the settings are fixed?
