  Subject: Synthesizer Problem

HI, Anita. After reading your messages as well as Duyahn's, I have a
feeling I know what is happening.

You mentioned you are using both Dectalk Access 32 Window-eyes and/or
Eloquence. Let's say you want to switch to Eloquence. You pick Eloquence
under synthesizers from within the devices node as I assume you are doing,
grin. When you pick Eloquence and start hearing Beeps, tab to the button
that says keep and press enter on it. If you don't press keep during the 15
seconds of beeps, Window-eyes will revert back to Dectalk. Also, remember
that during the beeps you can tab to a button that says revert and press it
if you don't want to switch to Eloquence. The feature will also beep if you
try to select a synthesizer you do not have installed and will switch back
to whatever synthesizer you were using. I really think that is a great
safeguard to prevent you from ending up with no speech should you try to
select a synthesizer you don't have installed, grin.
