No, refresh does not help as was stated in my original message.

Subject: WE remembering the past

Hi Listers,
Using: WE 7.5.1, W7 HP 32, Eloquence, TB 3.1.11

Wondering if anyone else is having the same problems with WE? If some
files are deleted or copied, WE seems to remember their names and often
repeats their names when they no longer exist. i.e. Frequently after
deleting all files from a folder, WE still speaks a file name although
the folder is empty. Exiting and re-entering the folder is the only way
to stop this problem. Refresh does not help.

Lately the problem has become more pronounced while arrowing around the
list of emails in Thunderbird. If previously, a few files have been
copied or deleted from a folder, WE will often speak these filenames
while arrowing around the list of messages. The only way I have found to
solve this annoying problem is to unload and reload WE. The problem is
not caused by the TB script because it is still present with all apps
turned off.

While on the subject of the TB app, the situation still exists when
opening a message, WE will frequently speak a string of meaningless
letters and digits while ignoring the text of the message. The arrow key
needs to be pressed so WE will focus on the message contents.

As mentioned by others, opening the WE control panel with control
backslash does not always have the desired result.
