Hello Shannon,
To properly associate user windows with a given program, a Set file
association must be created first. If you go to Association/Current
Association, you can check what Set is loaded as well as create a new
association for your accounting software. Once this is done, you should
be able to create your user windows and save them as you would expect.

Steve

Hello,
I mentioned this topic in relation to excel but I tried it out in our
accounting program to see if I could get away from useing my mouse which
seams to break WE.
I tried to set the user window 19 to an area of the labor distribution
screen to tell me the total hours that are calculated there.
I then set it to a speek window and set the hot key for window 19 to be
program spasific and it will read untill I close out of that employee
and reopen a new employee. All the settings dissapear. I have made sure
in each set up screen to save the settings and the settings will not
stay. I go back into window 19 and it is set again to the original
settings. It looses the margens, tag, and the hot key goes back to
undefined.
What is the problem? I am not exiting out of the program just that
window for a minuet and then get back into it.
I seam to remember I was having problems with this idea in 7.5 too.
Any ideas why the user window will not stay defined?
this is WE 7.5.1 on an xp pro sp3 machine.
