HI, I had the same problem. When I first downloaded the app, I discovered the very same behaviior and so got some sighted help. I was able however to determine, not sure how, that there were two edit boxes which were requesting your user id and password for Amazon. But still couldn't find the button to register. Then, I read on this list that you had to download the accessible version of the Kindle app. So, maybe you could try that if you haven't downloaded the accessible version.
