Hi. Several list members have reported the exact same issue I reported back in June after upgrading to Window-eyes 7.5.0.1. I only have this issue with my nearly five-year-old Dell XPS-410 desktop running Windows 7 32 bit Home Premium, all updates are current, and Window-eyes 7.5.0.1 using Eloquence.
The suggestion to use the Windows-d key combination to focus the desktop to make the items speak works. The items on the desktop speak after I tab to the various items after I first boot up the computer. I sent two W E diagnostic reports as suggested and the problem couldn't be resolved. At least I'm not the only one having this issue. However, this issue was reported two months or so ago. I hope that if enough of us report this issue that GW Micro will eventually be able to duplicate this issue and fix it. Thank you. Mike M.
