here are some steps on what can fix your link problem on some emails.
turn browse mode off
tab once
then turn browse mode back on. it works for 90 percent of the time.

Hi List,
Could anyone please help with an annoying problem regarding windows live
mail. In some mails the links are working fine as in mails from gw micro.
However in others such as the guardian newspaper and expedia a holiday
company. In these e mails the links should be there but are not. I am
using wlm 2011 w.e 7.5.1 windows 7.
