What I meant to write was Windows key plus backslash twice. Sorry about
that. That
also was meant to take care of the desktop icons not speaking, not
Window-Eyes losing
speech. If, indeed, Window-Eyes has actually locked up or shut down
completely,
my suggestion would not work as that is a Window-Eyes command. Now, on
the other
hand, losing speech, that is another kettle of fish, and I don't do much
fishing.
