It has had the effect of having me drastically trim the number of
apps I have installed.

how about giveing us choice. you could use a hot key like many of
the other apps have. you could press some hot key to turn on or off
app updating. w e would remember these settings and would not change
if it crashes or when you start w e each time.
then you could have it both ways.
people that want it to update automatically could
people that do not also could. and use the same hot keys to turn
updateing back on to check for updates on there schedule. then turn
it back off again without disableing the apps.

Hi All:
Yes, indeed, having a choice is quite in order. This is what I vote for as
well. Far too often, I have a customer standing here in my store. I am
about to RING UP A SALE, Window-Eyes POPS UP with an app update whilst I am
in the middle of finishing a sale. What to do? Trying to DISMISS what
Window-Eyes wants me to do almost always results in a LOCK UP. Customer is
standing at the checkout counter and I am FORCED to REBOOT the computer.
Fortunately for me, my customers are reasonably patient; they like the
concept of a computer talking to me and so they wait patiently for
Window-Eyes to load which is an extra two minutes or so wait time. I work
for myself and I am the ONLY ONE HERE at my retail store 99% of the time.
As a matter of fact, I think I should find a way of REVERTING BACK TO
Window-Eyes 7.2. I've not been too happy with Window-Eyes 7.5 or 7.5.1.
7.2 starts up much faster than what I have now. Many thanks!!
Sincerely,
Olusegun
