And if you're sick of doing that, you can go to File->Options->Trust Center->Trust Center Settings->Protected View, and uncheck any of the boxes you feel comfortable with.

Hi,

In Office 2010, press F6 and you should hear something about the
document being protected. I dont have it in front of me to give you the
exact wording. Then press tab to get to the Emable Editing button and
press Space. This will exit protected mode and let you edit the document.
