Not sure if I get the nature of your question correct. But if you - in
general - want your system to give measurements in metrics, you could try
the following. Again, your individual software might have its own settings
for this feature. I am on XP, so if you are on newer flavors of Windows, be
ware that the actual steps might differ.
Under XP, try go to Start, Choose Settings, and then Control panel. Here
scroll down to Regional settings, and hit Enter. Tab to Customize. Shift-Tab
two or three times, and you should be on a combo of two choices. Likely your
computer now says US. Press Arrow up or down, and put it on Metric. Then tab
to OK, and OK your way all out of the settings.
Your computer now should give all native measurements of Windows, in
Centimeters and Millimeters.
