I didn't pay too close attention, but when Window-Eyes notified me there were apps available I was presented with a combo box or radio button, as I said I didn't pay too close attention, and I was given the choice of being notified all the time, once a week, etc.
Worked nicely and since I don't mind being notified all the time when ever new apps are available, that was the option I selected. I have no idea which app caused this behaviour.
