Greetings to the list.
I notice that when I use the 64-bit and 32-bbit versions of Internet
Explorer 9 to type strings into the "search" boxes of Google and other
sites, Window-Eyes often drops characters. I hear each character echoed
correctly as I type, but the string that actually gets into the box is
incomplete. For example, the string "the rain in spain falls mainly on
the plain" recently translated to "the rin in spain falls mainly n the
plain." If I send the string from the clipboard, no characters are ever
dropped. GW Micro acknowledges and is working on the problem. I wonder
how prevalent this oddity is and what steps--if any--users have taken to
eliminate it.
I'm using Window-Eyes 7.5.1 on a Compaq laptop with a 2.1gHz processor
and 3GB of RAM running Windows Home Premium with all updates.
Thank you for your help.
