Aloha,
Here's some basic steps you can take:
1. run msconfig.exe
go to startup tab and uncheck all programs you do not need, such as
adobe,
itune,
quicktime,
skype,
you should keep your security systems.
2 use c cleaner every night before shutdown
3 run Auslogic disk defrag
here you tab twice and hit space bar to check turn off computer after defrag finishes
then shift tab and arrow down once and hit the letter e
That's it.
Let me know if this does not work for you.
good luck.

When I say slow, I mean it takes 30-60 seconds to catch up. Needless to say, this is really slowing my work and research down. Does anyone out there have any recommendations to get this process to speed up?
