Youi cannot remove IE from a Windows installation. As has been pointed
out more than once, you will roll back to a previous version.

never an internet explorer 8 on this computer, and I remove internet
explorer 9, wouldn’t it just remove it altogether? How can it go back to

Hi,
Just go to remove programs in the control panel and remove ie 9 you will
automatically go back to 8 after the uninstall.
