Hi, I will second Chip's comments about Kathyann Murtha's material. I have the Windows 7 book and it's very good. I wish I could help with sorting but... that's not my strong suit unless you're using Excel.

As I can't think of any other way to sort items unless they are in a table. If it's not in a Word table, then you'll need to follow instructions on how to convert what you have to a Word table. I believe you'd move the cursor into the table, and then press alt to go into the ribbon, then jl to get into the tables layout group. I don't have Word 2010 on this pc to give you every step, but hopefully you can find the option for the sorting dialog from here. Very very good.
