I work in an I.T. shop, and we have a lot of Word document automation
applications.  One thing we've found for a cause of "strange behavior" in
any version of Word, is if the document becomes corrupt.
 
I didn't see your original post, so am not aware of your problem, but if you
would like to send me your Word 2010 document at my work email (where I have
Word 2010) and give me a description of the issue, I'd be glad to have a
look at it for you.

I have noticed that the word 2010 issue only seems to apply to a single
document I have on my hard drive, and that document happens to have a ton of
objects in it (links, symbols, and the like).  Is that known to trip up WE?
