Bob and others,
For me, WE didn't always completely shut up when I ran Kurzweil 1000 version 12.04 until today's upgrade. As it says in the set file documentation, if it doesn't silence, when in Window-eyes, open the set file again and save it, telling it to associate with Kurzweil. They say that should fix that problem. Although this is a bit tricky to do with a silent set file. <grin.> The other thing is that for me, the Kurzweil doesn't always close completely. I had calmed that down by deleting the settings file within Kurzweil, which it calls default, then redoing my settings. Today when I upgraded Window-Eyes, Kurzweil goofed up again on close. I'm going to just watch and see if this behavior repeats itself before deleting all of my Kurzweil settings yet again. But I thought I remembered in way older versions of both programs that Window-Eyes was silent while I ran the Kurzweil, but did speak when I went into the Window-Eyes control pannel. Interesting!
