Hmm, it is really interesting. When I hit the Windows key, WE does say Start Menu, Taskbar. This is new behavior. Also, when I go to the Desktop, WE does not say desktop as it used to. These aren't big issues, but they're definitely strange, I think. Also, I was hoping the new update would resolve reading the status bar in Word, but that's still slow. I know that Mike said it had to do with the way Microsoft accessibility works? Hmm, not sure. I hope the new update just has minor issues. I do want to acknowledge GW Micro's fixing of the Excel find feature with the 7.5 previous update. WE used to be quite unresponsive with Excel Find and replace until 7.5.1. I hope this is still true. I was getting desperate since this is a feature I need to use quite a bit.

Window-Eyes never used to echo the Taskbar focus when this happens but it now does. It seems to have gotten better at detecting focus changes. Munawar A. First, it sure is nice being able to hear the dialog again for safely removing hardware. I do have one question though. Every time I open a program, any program, Window-eyes says taskbar, then goes on to speak the usual stuff as the program opens. I wonder what this is about. Thanks.
