Hi,
Ok I've noticed something interesting. Do you use a braille display? Since I disabled my PM20 display (set my braille display to none, the problem seems to have stopped. So maybe that's where the delays were coming from.
    Thanks,
    Cory

I too just uninstalled WE and started with a new install and fresh update. I just tried using Notepad and it seems to work fine. I have word wrap checked and am using the Decaccess syn.

Hello all,
So I've just completed the process of reinstalling Window-Eyes entirely
in order to try to eliminate these problems with my navigating text
files. I don't know if maybe it's a setting I need to change, but if I
navigate by word through text files (for example my text book),
Window-Eyes seems to hang after every few words for a few seconds. This
is just using Notepad which ships with Windows. Sometimes this also
happens if I arrow up and down by line. There is usually a delay of
approximately 3 to 5 seconds before it resumes reading. Does anyone know
what else I might try to fix this? This is after doing a complete
uninstall of WE, then reinstalling from 7.5 using my disk and then
applying 7.5.2 over top of it. I have installed the apps I usually use
(TB Enhance, Skype, Winamp and the GW audible kit) just to name the most
obvious ones which I think run all the time. I have Skype, Thunderbird
open as I'm using it, a windows explorer with some files I'm accessing
and notepad itself. Notepad is maximized on the screen. I have tried
disabling all apps to see if that fixed the problem but it did continue.
Doing a check in Windows Task Manager I see my processor is running at
5% useage. This is a Windows XP Pro SP# machine with an Intel 2.2ghz
Core2Quad processor and 3GB of RAM. Any suggestions would be most
helpful. Maybe I'm just too impatient...lol
Thanks,
Cory
