For many of us the change was very helpful. In some cases, Window-Eyes was
speaking text that was not visivle.
For some of you, this was useful text, apparently, that assisted in identifying
what to do. For many of us, though, we
saw text indicating there were errors such as invalid passwords and such that
really didn't occur. It was text that was
on the page but set not to display unless the particular error occurred. It
has personally cost me a good bit of time
trying to correct errors that never existed. In my web browsing, I have still
not found a case where the change had
any negative effects but have found a number of cases where the change was a
positive one. I recognize, of course,
that this is not true for everybody. Obviously, this particular compromise
can't make everyone happy, so at least we
can choose how we'd like Window-Eyes to work.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
