Hi,
I wonder what that means that Open Office isn't accessable to
us. Aren't there people on the list that use it successfully? Maybe
I should delete it and look for something else to read my .doc
files. Thanks to all of you who responded.

Hi Bud, open office isn't accessible to us but an easy way to get to
the sys tray is incert S this way it lines all working programs up
and gives them a number. Hope that helps, Craig R.

Subject: trouble with Open Officetaking over
Hi
gang,
Don't know if this is a windows or a wineyes problem or possibly
neither. I installed Open Office the other day so I could read .doc
files. Now any time I go back to the desktop instead of it
announcing desktop it says Open Office. The big problem is that I
have trouble shutting down, it keeps telling me to get rid of Open
Office first. Then somehow I finally get it shut down And then when
I boot up it announces windoweyes as usual but also announces Open
Office. Any thoughts as how to clear that up? Sometimes it takes me
almost ten minutes to shut down and then after trying so many
different things I'm never quite sure exactly what did it. It's a real pain.
Does that mean that it's in the systray and could be gotten out to
clear it up? I can't even find the systray in windows 7 64 bit, I
just came over recently from XP.
