Good Morning, Yesterday my students submitted electronic copies of their research papers to me. I use Outlook as my email client to manage my Gmail account. I downloaded to attachments saving them to a flash drive. I'm using WE 7.52 and MS Office 7. WE locked up several times while I was dealing with my mail but a larger problem is the files I downloaded. MY students submitted their papers in Word. When I go to the folder on the flash drive in which the papers are saved and try to open a paper. I am asked to select a program. I've tried all the possible program I think might work and none do. Also none of the student papers appear to have the .doc suffix. I'm wondering if when I downloaded from Outlook the file type was changed in some way. Anybody got any suggestions as to what Program I should use to open these files. I was hoping to grade some of the papers over the weekend. Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.
