Hi Kim, laptops these days have an extra key called "fn", and it's usually on the bottom left of the keyboard (mine is the second from the left on the bottom). it's used like a modifier key (similar to shift), and it makes your laptop keys do various things, according to it's manufacturer. One of the common things though that they all seem to do is to make the keys centered around the u i o and p become numeric keypad keys, if you hold down fn while you press these keys. try it in "key describer" mode so you can hear what each key becomes. On mine for instance, the numericpad delete is made by olding down fn and pressing the period. This should let you get the info you need. Of course, if you don't like using fn, you can always change the keystroke used on your laptop. You may want to try and search the internet for a list of fn key combinations and your model of laptop; they can do any number of things, including muting the sound (found this out accidentally, and I was panicked for a bit), or decreasing the brightness of the screen (by holding fn and pressing down arrow, which saves on battery, or increasing it with fn plus up arrow and it allows sighted people to better see your screen when on battery). hth, Chip

If I have text bolded, how do I verify that it has been bolded? Isn't there a keystroke? I understand using a desktop it is CTRL numpad del but what if I am using a laptop that doesn't have a number pad? Thanks.
