Dear List: I have windows xp with the latest window eyes. Sometimes, if I do nothing right away after startup, speech stops. In the event that something else is taking over the machine such as system mechanic or mc afee, is there a way that a command could be issued so that window eyes could capture the cpu time and say what is happening and what program is hogging computer time? I have tried alt tabbing, killing and resurrecting window eyes, and control-alt-delete. There was no hour glass chime dinging either. There was not even a whimper of sound coming from my speakers. I had to press the button on the cpu to turn my computer off and then on again to restore speech. My second question is: When I go to some sites, such as my bank website (usbank.com), every time I hit enter, browse mode does not automatically get turned on; I have to keep turning it on. And, each page it brings up, it keeps mentioning something about security. Thanks for any ideas. Regards: Ted Larson If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
