To GW Micro, Staff, I tried to set up Media Center in Windows 7 Home Premium over the weekend using Window-Eyes 7.5.2. Window-Eyes spoke the controls, but not the instructional text in the setup screens. Why is this, and can anything be done to remedy this problem?
I had to close Window-Eyes and launch NVDA to complete the setup. I've also found that NVDA reads text in the program in normal operation that WE can't. For example, in the radio section, NVDA reads out the frequency of the stations, but WE does not. For the most part though, Window-Eyes does read the information in Media Center that is needed to operate the program. The Program Guide and all controls are read. As for the setup screens, I suspect that text is being displayed in a way that causes Window-Eyes to miss it, but if NVDA can read it, Window-Eyes should also.
