Robin,
1. Alt-Tab is still the command to use to navigate between
applications. If your friend isn't hearing anything when issuing these
commands, it would be good to uninstall any unnecessary third-party
programs, especially any virus or malware scanners that may have been
included with the new machine.
2. The ribbon takes some acclimating. The KB article at
http://www.gwmicro.com/Support/Knowledge_Base/?kbnumber=GWKB1075 may
help. Also, the section of the WE 7.5 tutorial which deals with Word
also explains how to use the ribbon.
3. The Set File Manager in Window-Eyes 7.2 has been renamed to Factory
Settings. You can find it within the Window-Eyes File menu.
Regards,
Steve

list,
My friend Doug is upgrading to Windows& and Office 2010 for the first
time and is on the newest version of WE. I'm not on the upgraded systems
yet, so I can't answer his question, but hope someone wouldn't mind giving
me a quick response for him. (I am going to order a couple books for more
detailed help, but need a couple quick answers.)
1. Doug noted that it doesn't seem that he can use the Alt + Tab
navigation between programs anymore. I'm not clear if it doesn't work at
all or maybe it's just not reading the program names as he does it. Is
this a change in newer Windows? HE and I both live by Alt + Tab to
navigate programs. What's the method now?
2. Can someone give me a quick and dirty navigating the ribbon in Office,
or point me to an immediate resource? Doug was distraught to realize Alt
doesn't bring up the menu bar anymore.
3. If the newest version of Window Eyes, how do you get to the box that
tells you which settings to change in each program to ensure the set files
work best? I know how to find it in WE 7.2.
Thanks.
