most of the time i would say it is windows 7 itself. i lose all speech at times
when i am sitting on the desktop with no programs running at all. with sound
enhancements turned off.
on a second note. even when you have sound enhancements turned off, as soon as
you make any changes with a graphic equalizer the enhancements are turned back
on without your knolage

I've been using a HP full sized keyboard notebook for the past 3 years
running Vista and I don't loose speech more than a few times a week and it's
usually while surfing the web. This happens both with IE or firefox. The
problems allot of you have with email clients probably could be avoided if
you'd stay with the one that comes with your system. I never had any
problems with Outlook Express, or Windows Mail.
