Michael, The Skype runtime handles all conversation history. We plan to add a cut-off point to the message log options similar to what exists in native Skype. We felt that, for the initial release, potentially too much conversation history was better than not enough.
The voicemail capabilities will also be expanded upon. GWSkype currently doesn't provide a mechanism for adjusting the number of times your device rings before going to voicemail.
