This is of course a sensible assumption. The problem in my case is
that the program becomes unresponsive while it is retrieving the
history, and Window-Eyes, waiting for GW Skype to respond, becomes
unresponsive as well, the net effect being that my machine freezes for
some time, often about a minute.
The history is also retrieved when someone sends me a message, causing
the chat window to open, thus also freezing my machine. This is a kind
of potential denial of service situation for me because it can happen
at any given moment.
In short, I have no objection to the history being retrieved, but
everything should remain responsive while this is happening.
