Yeah, I've been down that same road. I used to be on a list that had
nothing to do with screen-readers in particular, but was for blind
folks. And every time any questions relating to Window-Eyes came up the
moderators, who were Jaws users, squashed them immediately. Then they
would blow my mind when two days later a thread could go on for days on
how to get Jaws working with this or that. What could I say.

Let me guess. Most of the folks on that list are Jaws users.

I have been informed by the moderators of Skype English that GWSkype
should not be discussed on there. I am personally not happy about it so
I am leaving but on the quiet.

hi, well I don’t think we need a e-mail list for Skype as there already
is one. that would be Skype English this list already provides
information help etc. for users of screen readers and Skype and clients
of all kinds. and yes gw Skype has been a big topic of conversation on
that list scence it was releced yesterday.

Will there be a separate mailing list for skype?
Asking out of curosity. True, the app is brand new, a great thing (from
what I hear) for those who make use of Skype. And likely we will see a
lower stream of Skype messages here, as time goes by.
Still, several of the messages that have come lately, might not exactly
relate to Window-Eyes. Furthermore, GW has told this app to be
available
for anyone. In due time, we therefore might end up with a certain flow
of messages, asking this and that, about using skype and the app -
along
with any other screen reader. That might eventually lead to an
offtracking of this list.
So, maybe something for GW to consider, if they should have set up a
list solely for the Skype app, and related messages.
