Subject: Window-Eyes and Vipre

Hi Everyone,

I just experienced something today with Window-Eyes and VIPRE.

Now I got my User Account Control set to high.

I had VIPRE set to scan even one file or all files when copying or
moving. Big mistake. It really messed up Window-Eyes, and the
progress indicator was going bonkers every single time I went into a
folder no matter where it was.

I tried to delete a file, and Windows kept telling me "Preparing to
delete." It's never done that before. Then it said something about
VIPRE not allowing me to delete this file or something like that. I
new at this point it was VIPRE that was causing my system to crawl,
and Window-Eyes was behaving very poorly and that progress indicator
was goin crazy. Even the Windows Explorer thing with Windows Seven
was causing me big problems.

I went into the settings of VIPRE and I unchecked that where it says
to scan each file before copying. Now, so far, so good. My computer,
VIPRE and the loving Window-Eyes is behaving properly.

Just wanted to pass on that bit of information, as it could affect
any anti-virus program, not just VIPRE.

Now, if I'm wrong about this, someone correct me, but it sure works
for me. I can have VIPRE scan files at any time, and I don't need for
them to be scanned automatically when I am copying, Deleting or moving
files.
