Long time ago, they told us to uninstal the Enhancement app for Internet Explorer. Yes, I did so, specilly due to some strange things going on with my Internet Explorer. This now has been sorted, and I was pretty happy. But then this silly app trouble started.
My app manager is set to inform me of any new updates to my installed apps, ever so often. A couple of times now, it has informed me of an upgrade to Internet Explorer enhancements. Strangely enough, since I had uninstalled that app. OK, finally I thought, maybe GW insists on us having that app running, so let's give it a new try. Two days ago, when I last was reminded that there was an update to this uninstalled app, I let the app-updater install the newest version. Now, when I OPEN THE APP MANAGER TO SEE WHAT APPS ARE RUNNING WHEN i AM IN A WINDOW OF Internet explorer, I see all my other apps, and at the bottom of the list I see the following: - First an entry of Internet Explorer Enhancements, think it said vbs at the end. - then no less than six more entries, listed as IE Enhancement, with the extension telling that this is a cryptized version of the script. Wecrept, or whatever it is. Out of all these - a total of seven entries for the enhancement app - only the first one is reported as running. The last six ones (the ones that are reported as cryptized), are reported as stopped. How silly is this? One and same script is showing up numerous times, and some are cryptized, some are not, some are stopped, and one is running? And all of this, due to the fact that I could not get rid of a reminder to install an app I had uninstalled first-hand. If anyone else has an experience even close to this, come on and let us all enjoy the fun. Smile. Any ideas are welcome - I really hope to get rid of this stuff. Smile.
