Hi David, What Windows are you using? I just tried this in Windows Vista, and it does not do this to me; my place is preserved in the list of files. I wondered if you're uxing XP, maybe this is an old XP issue? Chip

Immediately I saw this behavior starting to take place. Wonder if this is a known trouble for anyone else, or if there is a good fix for it. What happens is this: You open Windows Explorer, go to a folder - like My Documents - and scroll down a bit. Let's say, you land on entry number ten. Then you alt-tab to another window, like Outlook Express or the like. After a while, you Alt-tab back to your Explorer window. You would expect to land on your last chosen entry (ten in my exmple); but you are actually thrown back to the very top of the list of files. If you know, exactly what entry you were last at, or you only are dealing with a folder of a few files, this might not be too bothersome. Still, if you happen to deal with a folder of several entries, and you do not remember which entry you were last at, refinding your last spot will be a tiresome process. Anyone have seen this, and have an idea for what could be done to eliminate the trouble? As I said, it started right after my upgrading WE, but it of course could be due to any apps installed; I don't know. If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
