David, what seems to work so far is to have had to reinstall the
Wordpad sets. Nothing else worked.
Now, since that Babylon Tool Bar made it entrance, I've got
a weird command.com error. It goes like this:
Warning! Warning! c:\window\system32\command.com parameter not correct. OK?"
So I've really got a mess somewhere.
Take care,
Brenda

My first guess, would be for you to try stopping SpybotSD from
running, then open your WordPad, and see if the things goes on.
There might be things that Spybot conflicts with WE, in combination
with Wordpad, although I never have heard of it.
Second thing, if disabling Spybot temporarily does not do the trick,
would be to try stopping all your running apps under WE. See if any
of these ideas take you anywhere.
If not, then try and see if this is only under Wordpad. Or does it
happen also in things like Notepad.
Well, and you could of course, under WE, try to reinstall the set
files for Wordpad, in case something there happened to get broken.
Hope for you to figure. And nice if you can let us know, if any of
these ideas made the trick. Smile.

Subject: weird thing happening in Wordpad
Hello all,
Until today, when I installed SpybotsSd, Wordpad read perfectly
with Window-Eyes 7.5.1. Now, it doesn't. It seems Window-Eyes loses
focus and will only read part of a line. I do have Wordpad
maximized, too, and it's also happening now in Eudora 7.0.1.9. If I
unload and reload Window-Eyes, it regains focus for just one moment
and then it's gone before you know it. Help. If anyone wants to
write and you don't want to write on list, write me privately, at:
[email protected]
Thanks in advance,
Brenda
