I am not saying I want to change the pronunciation of a word. I want to change the word stream to make it more productive for me. Since we meaning blind people have to listen to a stream of words instead of looking over the page, anyway that we can shorten that word stream and still get the meaning is a great thing. The confusion is that some just see the dictionary as a way to change the pronunciation of words. i don't care about that. i care about not hearing repetitative phrases over and over again. As an example I don't want window-eyes to say orginal message every time i am reading an email. I can't at this time stop it from saying that phrase without not letting it say both the words original and message in every instance. This is because I can't put the phrase in the original field of the exceptions dictionary. If I have a document where the phrase european union is said repeatedly then I could make window-eyes say euro fo rthat and understand that it is european union thus saving time while reading. There would be many otehr examples if we had the ability to do this ubt it was removed. Maybe someone can clarify what i mean better than this if it is still misunderstood.
