Thanks, Jeff.

I do not want to lose the ability to access attachments or edit contact
information the outlook enhance ap offers. I read the Outlook Enhance
documentation at the beginning of February and found nothing suggesting that
the Outlook Enhance ap will take over the Window-Eyes status line hot key. I
even have my status line hot key set to something GW Micro has stayed away
from in the past-the inclusion of the Windows key-as in Alt-Windows-S for
read status line. Perhaps I should have posed a question: to wit, is the
outlook enhance ap intended to change the behavior of the status line hot
key, or is this a critter?

If this behavior is intentional, I'm fine with that; I can set up a user
window over the area from which I want the status line information and set
up my hot key to trigger the user window. If it is not, then I want to help
the GW Micro tech staff identify something they may have missed.

Take care,

Lou N.

This is from the outlook enhanced app.

Just remove this app and all should be well again.

Subject: Peculiar behavior with 7.5.3.0 in Outlook 2003.

Hello world!

7.5.3.0 WE, XP Sp3 with all necessary and unnecessary updates, Outlook
twenty oh three.

When I use the WE status line hot key from in the inbox, outbox, sent items,
or whichever folder contains messages, WE says, for example, "Unread twenty
of twenty six, cued zero." I thought this might be some ap or other, so I
turned off aps from within the ap status menu drop down. With no aps
running, a press of the status line hot key gives me a straight, "Twenty
five items." I turned on all aps, then began shutting them off one by one,
trying to find the ap that was causing WE to be so informative. The process
of shutting down an ap, closing the WE control panel, testing the status
line hot key, then re-entering the WE ap management dialog was rather
trying, I can say: more so because when I had shut off the last ap in the
list, WE was still giving me the "Unread twenty of twenty five, cued zero"
speech. Again, when I set the ap status to off, the status line hot key
worked as it should. Or, I should say, as I would expect it to.
