Jan, All cell providers have an email interface to sending SMS messages to their customers. You could have your group of people provide you with the email address for their phone (or if they don't know it, they can provide you with the carrier they're using and their phone number and you can lookup the email address), and so you can send out bulk emails to send your SMS messages. The email address I'm speaking of is formed from the phone number, and a domain name for each carrier. In fact, there was an app (written by Jamal Mazrui) which helped you do this if you new the carrier; it was written several years ago, so it may not be entirely up to date (I just can't think of it's name right now). hth, Chip

Hi all Sorry for asking this here, and if any replies are possible, we can keep them off list please. Is there any software accessible with window-eyes for sending bulk sms messages from a computer. I must state that I stay in South Africa, that will make a difference. I have tried the messenger from www.bulksms.com and some of the features work, but I can't get to contacts, using the find dialog, and field names in contact creation does not speak at all and some lists has nothing spoken with window eyes as well. I want to use bulk sms in the church we belong to, and it's too much for a cell phone, and also the credits expire after a month, when using a phone, whereas credits remain valid when using the pc based solutions. So, if there is any software that I could use which will work with a screen reader, I would love to get any info on it. I don't use ms word 2007 or 2010 as yet, as I believe that with the later versions of office it might be possible to do sms messages with outlook, but I am not sure on that. Thank you for any help regarding this matter, and sorry once again for going off topic here, as I don't belong to any other technical related lists to ask this question. Jan Kleinhans If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only. If your reply would benefit others on the list and your message is related to GW Micro, then please consider sending your message to [email protected] so the entire list will receive it.
