Hi Eric, I'm glad you brought this up. I have been trying to use google books for my work. I need to research a lot for my university degree, and I use google books to read previews of books to see if they are relevant. However, I have to get an ASW (Academic Support Worker) to read the previews out to me, and I cannot use EBooks as there are contractual issues as I live in the UK. How do I use adobe digital edition to read EBooks with Window-Eyes, and if my netbook doesn't have it, how much does it cost?

Hi, google books is accessible on IOS devices and I believe android devices as well. As far as ebooks on the PC the best bet right now is adobe digital editions, which should read google books just fine. i haven't tried google books for the pc. For me, ebook reading is a task that just makes sense on a mobile device. I've read using a pc for years and always hated being tied to the computer in order to read a book. When I started transferring them to my brillelite years ago it was like it opened up a whole new world for me. All of a sudden I could read books on the subway or waiting in bus stations or at the doctor's office or on my lunch break. Now that I've got an ITouch and a braille display, I just don't understand why any one would prefer to use a PC for this unless they had no other choice. I've been to Google's actual page on Google Books with no utterence of acceessible on Google Books at alll zippa nada or nothing. This is what irritates me to the extreme about the double games about the Google paradigm of make belief doublespeak on accessibility. The only major work it appears is on Freedom Scientific's Jaws that is all I know about for the time. Is this with window-eyes or with a mobile device. it was the thread about an e-book reader. -- Dave C. Bahr If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
