Oh!  I had my laptop fixed and I think Carbonite had to be removed.  But, when 
I go to reinstall, there’s no button or link I see on the web page.

no, only when windows crashes and will not boot.
you have to go to the carbonite.com  site and log in. then use the link to 
reinstall the software if you uninstalled it. 
this is where it gets hectic
with me i had to log on to carbonite then install the software. then it could 
connect to there site to get the info on the files you have stored on there 
site.
otherwise i would get the error that it could not connect.

you have to reinstall windows first.
then log onto the carbonite site an use the link to reinstall carbonite.
stay logged into carbonite when you run the program and re enter your user name 
and password if it asks for it.
its a mess . it will want to log onto there site before you re enter the user 
name and password in the program.
