You don't have to exit table mode before typing in an edit box, Sandy. The sticking point is that just because you're in a table cell does not mean that you are in an edit box within the table cell. While you're in the table cell, you arrow around until you find the edit box, or, you press C or Shift-C, then press Enter to exit browse mode, enter your data, then re-enter browse mode.
Regarding html mail, etcetera. When I close the browser and am back in my html email, I control-end to get to the bottom of the page, then press Shift-V to find the last visited linkk. This way, I avoid revisiting visited links that came before. Unfortunately, the previous position hot key, Ins-R, is mostly ineffective. The place marker dialog will open from within an html email, but the only way I could envision that working consistently is if the newsletter you are subscribed to always has the same links or text on it. My phone bill, for example, always has the same link to log on and pay, so I could technically set a placemarker there. I think. If I am reading a table in Internet Explorer is it necessary to come out of Table Mode before I enter Edit Mode to write in an edit box? I tried pressing enter while in Table Mode, but to no avail. The only way I could do it was to exit table Mode, then relocate the edit box and then press enter. It would surely be convenient to be able to enter edit mode while deep in a table.
