FWIW, it did that myself, a number of days after the first release of 1.05.

    Hello folks:

    I am writing this again hoping to get at least one response.

    I have installed gw connect latest version and nothing happens when
    I click on the Icon on my desktop.

    It doesn’t launch, pretty much nothing happens. I have uninstalled
    the program and reinstalled it but to no avail.

    Other folks I have spoken with state there is no issue with them,
    which is good but why is there issues with my system and the
    launching of gw connect?

    Thoughts?
