Greetings.

I seem to recall that GW has confirmed this, and certainly - I have had the
problem quite frequently.

My concern about this is in part security related - the crash occurs quite
often when I am completing my banking tasks, and it seems to me that the online
banking facility doesn't always log me out when it detects that the browser has
crashed, or at least - that is my perception of things. The bank's usual
timeout features do kick in if I delay reloading IE 9.

I expect that this whole issue is the problem of the legacy of browse mode and
Microsoft's new user interface automation and I hope (and almost prey) that
Window-eyes v8 will have the promised rewrite of browse mode.

There are others on the list who are far more knowledgeable in this area than
I, so I only speculate rather than offer the complete explanation.

Cheers.

Vaughan.

Hello,
I too am running the same configurations as you. I have experienced WE
temporary crashing while in IE 9. However, if I wait a little bit, WE will
start talking again.

Subject: Crashes when Brows Mode is Off

Hi everyone, I am using Window-Eyes 7.5.3 on a Windows 7 Home Premium machine
with Internet Explorer 9. Sometimes when I am typing in an edit box or
selecting items in a list box with brows mode off, Window-Eyes makes the triple
beep signal to tell me that a crash has occurred. I then have to wait a few
seconds, and sometimes it beeps again, and then I go into the task manager and
have to close Window-Eyes down that way. However, sometimes it doesn't even
let me go into the task manager. The next time Window-Eyes starts up, it comes
up with an error report. Is anyone else having this problem? Thank you.
