Ed,
Currently, I don't think there is a way to do any of the things with Kindle for
PC with Accessibility Plug-In that you want to do because of limitations in the
program. I may have missed something, and if so, I would like to be corrected.
I think the program could definitely be improved to allow blind users to
access the same features that sighted users can. Folks who feel the same way
should go to the Kindle for PC support page and suggest needed improvements.

Subject: Kindle for PC with WE 7.5.4

  Hi -

I am looking for other WE users of Kindle for PC who may have discovered how
to maximize Kindle performance. I can execute all of the basic controls to
download, synch, read, and manage books, and to toggle voices, change rates,
and continuous/page-by-page reading. I am interested in whether anyone knows
how to read word-by-word or by character (to check word spelling). I also would
like to know how to find page numbers corresponding to print editions (not
positions within the book file). Finally, is it possible to cut and paste or to
copy text from the Kindle book for making notes or saving quotations?

Kindle for PC certainly could be improved - such as expanding available
voices or improving their quality - but being able to read e-books on my
notebook is wonderful. I hope some more adept users have figured out and will
share methods to maximize the use of Kindle for PC with WE.

  Thanks -

  Ed Culpepper
